The study from University college London showed that a particular component size of brain is related to the number of friends an individual has on Facebook. This linking may suggest that social networking sites are altering people’s brains.These brain regions are linked with creating memories of names and faces and even how one interprets social cues along the lines of body movements. Case study indicates people’s brains have become influenced by social media sites or that folks born with the forms of brains behave within a different manner on Facebook.
They used functional magnetic resonance imaging and created brain scans of 125 young scholars for the University College London. The team compared the sizes of varied brain regions with the range of the participant’s volume of Facebook friends and friends in real life. They also studied an individual pair of 40 students and discovered a very good link between between quantity of Facebook friends and also number of “grey matter” from the amygdale.
